Degree Levels:

Ph.D (Kiswahili): 2001 – 2004 at Egerton University in the Department of Languages and Linguistics. My topic of research was kuathiriana kwa kiswahili na kimeru: mfano kutokana na wanafunzi wa tigania, kenya (cross-linguistic influence between kiswahili and kimeru: A case study of pupils in tigania, kenya). My supervisors were Prof. Rocha Chimerah, Dr. Kimani wa Njoroge, and Prof. H. S. K. Mwaniki. The research was completed in March 2004 and I graduated on 18th June 2004.

 

M.A. Kiswahili: 1995 – 1997 at Egerton University in the Department of Languages and Linguistics. My topic of research was njeo katika kitenzi cha kitigania (tense in kitigania dialect verb). My supervisors were Prof. Rocha Chimerah and Dr.Kimani wa Njoroge. The research was completed in 1997, October and I graduated on 20th November 1998.

  • 29/2/2006 in conjunction with Kiswahili Association of Kenya and PEO Coast Province, I participated in the Coast Province Secondary School Workshop which I participated in assisting Secondary School Kiswahili Teachers to interpret the new syllabus in Mombasa.

 

  • 13-15/9/2006 and 26 – 27/9/2006: in conjunction with Kiswahili Association of Kenya and PEO Western Province, I participated in Western Province Secondary School Workshop which I participated in assisting Secondary School Kiswahili Teachers to interpret the new syllabus in Bungoma and Kakamega respectively.

  • 19/9/2006 and 21/9/2006, I participated in stakeholders’ workshop that discussed and finalized the setting of East African Kiswahili Council Protocol in Nairobi, under the Chair of Dr. Ann Kishe of the National Kiswahili Council of Tanzania.

 

  • 23/11/2006: participated in the National Book Development Council planning workshop where on behalf of CHAKITA I participated in stakeholders drawing of the annual programme of the NBDC
