
Chuka University is located on the serene eastern slopes of the snow-capped Mt. Kenya at an attitude of approximately 2,000 m above sea level. The area has a cool climate with temperatures ranging from 16oC - 24oC and an average rainfall of about 2000 mm per annum.
This climate offers an excellent learning environment. Virtually all temperate and tropical plants grow within the region. It is in a rural setting that has escaped the negative effects of urbanization, thus providing a tranquil atmosphere and a perfect setting for learning and interaction between students and staff from all walks of life, free from the hustle and bustle of mundane activities. Chuka University is within Chuka Municipality in Meru South District,Tharaka-Nithi County, Eastern Province.
The University is situated approximately 186 km from Nairobi along the Nairobi-Meru highway.
